Adam Carlton "Red" Weber, age 87, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 19, 1930 in Black Creek, WI to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Wissinger) Weber. Adam served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. On October 7th, 1961 he was united in marriage to Bernice Felton. Both Adam and Bernice worked side by side in the local farming community. Adam's pride and joy came from working on his farm. Adam was an honest, loving and gentle man that valued hard work and lived that way up until the very end. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and instilled strong moral values in them, as well as everyone else he came into contact with.
Adam is survived by: his devoted wife, Bernice; children, Connie Weber-Marcks, Joane Weber, Diane (Tom) Peotter and Steve (Sherri) Weber; grandchildren, Joey, David, Shawn, Mike, Shanae, Brandon and Jason; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Fran Huhn of Alhambra IL, Mary Strack of Jackson WI, Tony Weber of Bonduel, Rose Theyel of Pulaski and Ruth (Tyke) Binder of IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jake, Roy and Edward "Eddie" Weber.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Father Tom Farrell officiating. Following the service, military honors will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Black Creek at a later date. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
