Agnes Rose Nahwahquaw, age 76, of Neopit, passed away at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton on Sunday, March 22, 2020. Rose was born on August 10, 1943 to Dave Nahwahquaw and Ashkepokonakokiew Raine. Rose loved her family; her grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews all. She was an active member of the Menominee Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Zoar, WI. She enjoyed daily visits at the Neopit Senior Center, and challenged many to bouts of 2-Card. Rose was an avid Packers fan and could handle the losses if she won a quarter or two in the football pool. She could always be counted on to contribute a delicious dish to pass at potlucks. Later Rose participated as a member of the Menominee Aging Commission, advocating for services to help meet the needs of the aging community in Neopit.

Rose is survived by: her children, Francis Nahwahquaw (Linda Claw), Gail Nahwahquaw (Paul Wilke), and Quinton Thomas; her grandchildren, Courtney Reyos, Lechauntel Nahwahquaw, Sherlinda Nahwahquaw, Chelsie Nahwahquaw, Raine Nahwahquaw, and Sir Nahwahquaw; and her great-grandchildren, Josiah Renteria, Elijah Renteria, Deshawn Peshlakai, and Amina Lazalde. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Josephine Grignon, Eleanor Pyawasit, Joseph Nahwahquaw, Stella Bigfire, Lavina Shawano, David Nahwahquaw, Leon Nahwahquaw, Edwin Nahwahquaw and Francis Nahwahquaw.

Private family services will be held with a larger memorial service planned at a later date.
