Al "Big Al" Michael Crowe, age 41, passed away on September 18, 2022 in Chicago. He was born on September 23, 1980 to Maggie (Schuman) Crowe-Hume and the late Albert P. Crowe, Jr. in Oneida County. During high school, he was a national champion wrestler. All throughout his life, people recognized Al by his boisterous laugh. He loved to hunt, fish and attend Pow Wows in his spare time. Al was skilled at making Native American regalia. His niece, "Baby" was his whole world. He was very proud of her and enjoyed dancing with her at Pow Wows. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Maggie; stepfather, Dave; brothers and sisters, Albert Crowe III, Dolly Crowe, Bart Crowe and Poppy Crowe; stepsister Katie Hume Phillips; stepbrother Ryan Hume; special niece, Regina "Baby" Zwald; and aunts, Mary Schuman and Mildred Schuman.

Al was preceded in death by his father, Albert P. Crowe Jr. and nephew, Bart Crowe Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Mary Schuman's residence: 1010 Peace Pipe Road, Lac du Flambeau. Visitation will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the residence until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Neopit, at a later date.
