Albert "Al" Popp, age 69 of Shawano, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 in Appleton. Al was born on September 29, 1946 in Shawano, the son of the late Walter A. and Sybil (Moesch) Popp. He was united in marriage to Jacquelyn "Jacky" Tinsman on April 23, 1966 in Shawano. Al had a good sense of humor and always loved meeting new people. He was a history buff, often reading about both World War II and the Korean War. Al enjoyed musky fishing and loved his dogs, Charlie, Peggy, and Gracie. He was a wonderful husband and father, and will deeply missed by all who knew him.

Al is survived by his wife Jacky, one son, Wade (Jenny) Popp and one granddaughter, Bethany. He is further survived by his two brothers, Marvin (Judi) Popp, Howard (Shirley) Popp and one sister, Karen (Steve) Van Ryzin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald Moesch.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil with Rev. Luke Ferris officiating. Entombment will be in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
