Albert K. Schroeder, Jr., age 73, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 25, 1948, to the late Albert and Irene (Montoure) Schroeder, Sr. in Shawano. Albert attended Shawano High School and lived in Shawano County all his life. On June 15, 1968, he was united in marriage to Elaine Mlodik. Together, they raised their four children on a hobby farm that included buffalo, horses, and other animals. Albert was a logger and proud to be working the woods with his own draft horses. He enjoyed being outdoors riding horses, hunting and fishing. Albert took many hunting trips out west. He hunted prairie dogs in South Dakota, antelope in Wyoming, mule deer in Montana, and elk by horseback in the mountains of Colorodo. In the southern states, Albert enjoyed hunting for hogs. He enjoyed spending time camping in the Nicolet National Forest surrounded by his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; children, Dan (Mary) Schroeder, Cindy (Jay) Kriefall, Ken (fianceѐ Liz Teetzen) Schroeder and Christine (Eric) Asenbrener; nine grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Lawrence Schroeder, Lila Postler, Darlene Drake, Dennis Schroeder and Gene Schroeder.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Stiebs.

A private family service will be held at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church with Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating.
