Albert Joseph "A.J." Waupoose, III, age 55 of Neopit, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his home. Albert was born on June 24, 1965, to the late Albert Waupoose, Jr., and Sadie M. Spoone. Albert graduated from Wausau East High School in 1983 and went on to Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas graduating in 1987. He also attended Aviation Institute of Maintenance where he studied Technical Engineering.  Albert worked for the Menominee Casino in Keshena and for the Potawatomi Casino in Carter. He enjoyed being a Men's Grass Dancer, going to Powwows, Native music and singing. He also loved classic rock music, was a good guitar player, enjoyed collecting guitars, playing pool, fishing, hunting, and camping. Albert was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed driving fast cars, NASCAR, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Albert loved his family, was kindhearted, and loved to make people laugh.

Albert is survived by his children, Charles Isham, Douglas Long, Felicia Masquat, and Brenda (Kenny LaTender, Sr.) Miller; grandchildren, Cardell , Royce, Andre, Kenny Jr., Deondre, Evander, and Mia; sisters, Anna (Lyle "Soup" Mustache) Heath, Louise (Gary) Varga, Sonja Mae Waupoose-Petonquot, Victoria Stone, Vanessa Stone, and Hope Waupoose. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Regina Annamitta.

A funeral service for Albert will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
