Alfred N. Niles, age 91 passed away on Monday July 7, 2025, at his home in Shawano. Alfred was born on June 18, 1934, in Mauston to the late Prentice and Olive (Farnham) Niles. He proudly served in country in the United States Army. On July 11, 1959, Alfred was united in marriage to Merriel Thiede in Ringle, Wisconsin. The couple spent a wonderful 66 years together. Together they ran the Tilleda Falls Campground for 29 years and during that time he worked at a Heavy Equipment Operator Local 139.

Alfred is survived by his son, Jeff (Christine) Niles; grandchildren, Jesse Linde, Cody Linde, Kyle (Angelina) Niles, Zach Niles, James Von Deck, Walker Rasmussen, Logan Niles, Lorella Von Deck and Emily (Mason) Zimmerman; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tina Niles, He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alfred is preceded in death by his wife, Merriel; children, Lori Niles, Brenda Niles, Scott Niles and Sara Rasmussen; several brothers and sisters; and parents, Prentice and Olive.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
