Obituary

Alfred "Waump" Waupoose, age 60, of Keshena passed away in Green Bay on Saturday, November 21, 2020.  Alfred was born in Keshena on July 16, 1960, son of Dewey Thunder and Edith Waupoose.  He enjoyed his job working with the youth at the Menominee Recreation Center, which he did for many years.  In his free time, Waump enjoyed golf, darts, pool, and attending pow wows.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews.

Alfred is survived by: the love of his life, Tracy Kakwitch; his children, Mindy and Anthony Waupoose; siblings, Kathy Waupoose, Nichole Waupoose, Paula Waupoose, Lynn (Dugan) Thunder, Danny Thunder, Helen Thunder, Darwin Thunder, Thomas Thunder, Robert Thunder, Gary Besaw, Linea Besaw, Kelly Besaw, and Mingy Besaw; his best friend, B.R.; god son, Joshua; as well as nieces and nephews, Manih, Mel, Chanice, Stephen Jr., Kyle, Keleigh, Adam (Monae), Bryce, Austin, Francis, Kaylin, Spuds, and Chubbs.  He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and, Sherry, Stephen, Wayne, Joey, Darnell, and Kyle.

Private traditional Big Drum services will be held for Alfred at the Zoar Ceremonial Building and burial will be in the Zoar Indian Burial Grounds.
