Obituary

Allen Carl Hoye, age 75, of Shawano, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Green Bay. Allen was born on September 6, 1942 in Milwaukee, the son of the late George and Marion (Liebenthal) Hoye. On January 28, 1967 at St. James Lutheran Church, he was united in marriage to Barbara Wolf. Allen spent 25 years in Milwaukee, working as the principal of St. Martini Lutheran School and Emmaus Lutheran School, retiring in 2004 and moving to Shawano. Allen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Stony Hill, with a strong faith in God, he enjoyed teaching Bible classes and substitute preaching. In his spare time, Allen enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, fishing, sports, watching the Packers and spending time with his family.

Allen is survived by: his wife, Barbara; four children, Dawn (John) Marohnic of Milwaukee, Mark (Laurie) Hoye of East Troy, Robert (Annette) Hoye of Fort Atkinson and Michael (Bridgette) Hoye of Henderson, NV; eight grandchildren, Jake, Caitlin, Clayton, Drew, Anna, Grace, Austin and Logan; his brother, Gary (Melissa) of Milwaukee; his sister, Donna (Ray) Paproski of Erie, PA; and one nephew, Nicholas Hoye.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Allen will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 13, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Stony Hill with Rev. John C. Eyer officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
