Obituary

Alta F. Brandstatter, age 85, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at her home. She was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on April 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Virgil and Olive (Bishop) Webster.  Alta was united in marriage to Frank Brandstatter in Chippewa Falls.  Frank preceded her in death in 2001.  Alta was a school teacher, teaching in a one room school house in both Chippewa Falls and Shawano before spending the majority of her years teaching in Marion until retiring.  She was a very smart and hardworking woman who worked on the family farm while teaching.  Alta enjoyed fishing and gardening and often cooked and canned her goodies.  Alta loved music, especially Polka and playing the accordion.  Although she was a very private person, she enjoyed entertaining her friends, family and neighbors and will be missed by all who knew her.
Alta is survived by her former daughter-in-law, RoseAnn Mocodeanu and one granddaughter, Rosalind (Kenneth) McKennon.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Frank; two children, Jerry and Barbara and her parents.
A graveside service for Alta will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Bloomer Cemetery in Bloomer, WI. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano and Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer are assisting the family with the arrangements.
