Amy Louella Theis-Schmidt, age 56, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Amy was born on October 30, 1963, in Shawano, to the late Donald W. and Gloria M. (Vomastic) Theis. She was passionate about her career and helped women at Planned Parenthood for nearly 20 years. Amy was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, absolutely loved gardening her flowers, along with bird watching. Above all she was devoted to her grandson and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with him.

Amy is survived by: her son, Jerod (Courtney Zook) Schmidt of Shawano; her grandson, Bronson Schmidt; her siblings, Terry Theis of Hawaii, Debbie Meyers of Bonduel, Brenda Kobs of Shawano, and Gail Theis of Shawano. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Debora Theis-Lucas, and her step-mother, Louise Ann Hammel.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
