Angeline Sophia Neumeier, age 92, of Gresham, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Appleton. Angeline was born in Maple Grove on October 6, 1922 to the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Baranczyk) Lech. On October 12, 1940, Angeline was united in marriage to Lawrence J. Neumeier in Gresham. Together, they raised a family of three boys and two girls. Lawrence preceded her in death on June 30, 1994. Angeline loved gardening, crocheting, and shopping trips because she got to take a ride on the mini bus. She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and cooked funeral meals for many years. She especially loved family get togethers. Angeline is survived by: four children, Frances (Jack) Van Lanen of Sturgeon Bay, Darla (Bill) Gasser of Oconto Falls, James (Candy) Neumeier of Berlin, and Dan (Special Friend, Kathleen Boss/VeerHusen) Neumeier of Lodi; nine grandchildren, Laurie (Tom) Olson, Floyd (Linda) Gasser, Sarah (Jake) Nelson, Joe (Special Friend, Sara) Gasser, Mike (Alisa) Neumeier, Jennifer (Special Friend, Bart) Neumeier, Becky (Friend, Kevin) Jensen, Kirsten (Josh) Levin, and Brook Pari; four great grandchildren, Evan Olson, Sydney Olson, Trevor Levin, Wesley Levin, and one on the way. She is further survived by her sister Evelyn Galiej of Elburn, IL. as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence Neumeier; son, David Neumeier, as a child, her parents, her brothers and sisters, Lucille Gartman, Helen Aniol, Irene Neumeier, Julie Krystek, and Roger Lech. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thank you to mom's caregiver's, Sherry, Theresa, and others who cared for her over the years.
