Ann Breitrick, age 91, went to heaven December 22, 2012, after a long and fruitful life. Ann was born December 5, 1921, to the late Albert and Mayme Peterson in Ironwood, Michigan. Ann met and fell in love with Gilbert (Bud) Breitrick. They had a wonderful marriage that lasted 63 years until his death in 2002. Their many friends and family were inspired by their love for each other. Ann loved life - all 91 years of it! She was happy and very healthy and able to get along on her own until she fell on December 4th. She loved her family and her many friends. She was a fabulous homemaker, and always proud of her spotless home. During her 91 years she so loved to dance, travel with Bud, sew, shop, clean, organize things, watch her game shows, play games on her computer, and cook (in that order). She excelled at all of the things she loved. Ann leaves behind a loving family that consists of four children: Norm (Mary) Breitrick of Weston; Judy Woehler of Shawano; Nancy (Dick) Peake of Ohio; and Jeffrey (Rebecca) Breitrick of Ohio. Ann also loved and cherished her six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandsons, along with two nieces, Patricia (John) Resch and June (Ronnie) Schultz and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Breitrick. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, their four-year-old son, David, one son-in-law, Robert Woehler, and six brothers and sisters. Ann's wishes are for cremation and final inurnment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah, Wisconsin beside her beloved husband, Bud, and their son, David. Ann has requested that a private memorial service be held. Ann's family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Cottages on Golden Pond for the friendship and tender-loving care they have given to Mom over the past 3 ½ years. Words cannot express how grateful the family is for all they have done for her. Mom recently moved to The Cottages Memory Care building on the same campus. In both locations she had stellar care from the kind, compassionate, loving staff. They helped make Mom's last years very happy ones. We would also like to express our deep appreciation to ThedaCare Hospice for all the wonderful support they have given to Mom and her family in the past several weeks. A memorial fund has been established for ThedaCare at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 1534, Appleton, WI 54912. Online condolences may be left at www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
