Anna Marie Peters, age 82 of Shawano, formerly of Green Bay, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011. Born on August 7, 1929 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late George and Martha (Sauer) Stammers. On May 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to John A. Peters in Chicago. After marriage the couple lived in the Green Bay area for several years where Anna Marie worked at Wally's Supper Club for 15 years. They later moved to the Menominee Reservation where they purchased the Rainbow Falls Bar in Neopit and in 1972 the couple established Shotgun Eddy's on the Wolf River. Anna Marie was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Anna Marie is survived by: 4 children, Dianne (Michael) Maenpaa of Gillett, Brian Peters of Krakow, Gloria Peters of Cecil, Lance (Luann) Peters of White Lake; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Shane and Scott Hilke, Jon and Kyle Peters, Kala (Mark) Peters-Lardinois, Kristina (Jason) Boivin, Nicholas (special friend, Cassie) Volpi, Jon, Stephanie and Josef Maenpaa; and 10 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Hannah, Emily, Patricia, A.J., Buddy, Natalia, Padon, Khiara and Malachei. Anna Marie was preceded in death by: her husband of 50 years, John on April 27, 1997; a son, Bruce; a daughter, Margaret; her parents; and a brother, James Stammers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Green Bay.
