Obituary

Annalee May Tucker passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Appleton with her eldest grandson and special niece by her side. Annalee was born on May 29, 1947, in Keshena, Wisconsin to the late Gabriel Tucker Sr. and Esther (Menore Tucker) Vigue. Annalee was known for many things but mostly for her absolute unshakeable faith in God. She devoted her whole life to raising her daughter and several years serving God. Annalee attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, Shawano High School and graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1965. She was a hard worker and tried different things over the years, doing factory work, health aide duties and casinos, among a few others. Annalee also attended secondary school over the years, always trying to learn.

Through the years she was known for her many native beadwork projects and passing her craft on to her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her family meant much to her, and she was tough on each and every one, but loved each and every one of her siblings, grandsons, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were family, even harder. Annalee spent many years doing her part for her faith, by teaching religious education, lecturing, distributing communion, volunteering, and was one of the founders of the St. Kateri Prayer Circle at St. Michael Catholic Church. When she was still able to, she helped with many things, but if she could not help, you could be assured she was praying for you. She was a big fan of music, coffee, cats, and in later years, found a love for travel as she ventured to visit her daughter and family from Wisconsin to Georgia, Virginia, Hawaii, Texas and back home.

Annalee is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Tucker Braun and her two grandsons Gavin Ray and Gryphon Alexander Braun, all of Shawano. She is further survived by her brother James Tucker Sr. (Kathy), of Keshena and 14 (of 17) nieces and nephews; Stuart Waupoose (Kathy), Rick Waupoose, Wade Waupoose, Barbara Tucker, David Tucker (Lisa), Rhonda Tucker, Roxanne Dubois (Troy), Tommy Tucker, Paula Gruenwald (Kenny), James Tucker Jr. (Kelly), Nicole Garcia Leon, Kristina Tucker (Julian), Darcie Gobilic (Steve) and Sabrina (Chris) Hemken. Also, her extended family, Robert (Cookie) Vigue, Roy Vigue, Bernadine Haun and David Vigue, as well as the father of her grandsons, Dennis (Lander) Buckner-Braun and special niece, Twila Pyawasay. Mom had many special people in her life, and I know she made sure people knew and they know who they are, and what they meant to her.

Annalee is preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Esther and her Stepfather, Louis "Pat" Vigue. Three brothers, Raymond, Lawrence and Gabriel Jr., her sister Clara Waupoose Ponfil, and a sister Roberta in infancy. One nephew, Alex Waupoose III, two nieces, Kay Waupoose and Jody Tucker Gallenberg. Also proceeding her in death are two stepsisters, Patricia and "Dimp". two beloved kitties, KittyGurl and Princess, and a dog Sheba.
