AnneBelle "Anne" Leona Krause, 89, of Shawano passed away on April 12, 2018 to be with her Beloved Lord and Savior. She was born on July 4, 1928 in the Town of Herman to the late Gust and Leona (Peterman) Moede. On September 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Arnold George Krause at St. James Lutheran Church of Shawano by Rev. William Uttech. They enjoyed 67 years together. She worked for almost 40 years at Badger Breeders. Anne loved to sew and made at least 100 quilts. Many she gave away as presents for Christmas, new babies, birthdays, weddings and every sister and brother got one. She loved attending church and loved to sing. She sang for many weddings over the years. She also wrote many poems. Anne was an avid sports fan. She loved the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. Anne also loved bowling and had once bowled a 660.
Anne is survived by: a daughter, Candice Lee Dettlaff of Oshkosh; six grandsons, Timothy (Wendy) Krause of Shawano, Jason Krause of Alaska, Andrew Krause of Shawano, Zachery Krause of Wittenberg, Eric Dettlaff of Oshkosh and Jesse Dettlaff of Oshkosh; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Krause of Bonduel, Shanna Krause of Shawano and Allison Krause of Shawano. She is further survived by: three sisters, Mae Krueger of Shawano, Elaine (Ray) Midkiff of Germantown, Ohio and Pat Moede of Oshkosh; two brothers, Jim (Nancy) Moede of Marshfield and John (Adelia) Moede of the Philippine Islands; two sisters-in-law, Bea Moede of Clintonville and Betty Moede of Hewitt; one brother in law, Bob Johnston of Milwaukee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Leona Moede; her husband of 67 years, Arnold George Krause, Sr.; her son, Arnold Gordon Krause, Jr.; her sisters and brothers, Louise (Earl) Berger of Spencer, Isabelle (Eugene) Maltbey of Shawano, Charlotte (Eldon) Heinz of Fond du Lac, Lucy Johnston of Pewaukee, Gordon Moede of Hewitt, Marshall Moede of Clintonville and Orvis (Nancy) Moede of Waupun.
A funeral service for Anne will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Stony Hill with Rev. John C. Eyer officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
