Anthony Glen "Tony" Sparks, age 53, passed away on Thursday June 15, 2023, in Shawano. Tony was born on October 29, 1969, in Shawano to the late Leslie and Marcelene (Miller) Sparks. On June 11, 1994, he was united in marriage to Patricia "Patty" Waupoose. He enjoyed his job as a slot technician at the Menominee Casino. Tony was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling in his spare time and camping every chance he could. Tony had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh. He was a member of Immanuel Mohican Church his whole life. Tony loved playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Tony is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patty; children, Donnaclaire (Bret) Dodge, Styxx Kaquatosh, Jaxon Kaquatosh, Forrest (Talisha), Darrick (Tashawnee), Elmira (Joe) Komanekin and Jerrod King; grandchildren, Ashleyann, Joseph, Anthony "Bun", Forrest, Jr., Kaybree, Rosie, Jeannine, Dalton, Kayliegh, Ricky Lee, Noni, Richie, Daileone "DaLion" and Kaceon; siblings, Kimberly Pennewell, Richard (Sue Riesterer) Pecore, Cindy (Tony) Jungenberg, Steven "Bubba" (Gerry) Sparks, Sr.; godchildren, Renetta, and Elmira; and special friend, Rus Rosenow; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Amy, Nick, Jamie, Jennifer, Zack, Todd, Ashley (Ricky), Emmie, Amos, Rueben; special nephew, Todd Corn Jr. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, in-laws and friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Marcelene; brother, Wayne Sparks; sister-in-law, Sarah; father-in-law and mother-in-law Rabbit; and special cousins, Bernard "Lee" and Mike Waubanascum.

A memorial service for Tony will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 24, 2023, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham, with Pastor Ralph Beversdorf officiating. Burial will take place at Red Springs Cemetery in Red Springs. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday 9:30 am until the time of service.
