Obituary
Archie E. Amundson, age 69, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home. Archie was born on November 30, 1948, son of the late Helmer and Dorothy (Conrad) Amundson. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Archie worked in the banking industry for 35 years, spending the last two years of his career at Citizens Bank in Shawano. On January 5, 1991 he was united in marriage to Nancy Thomas in Racine. The couple relocated to Shawano in 1995. After his retirement from banking, Archie was best known for his furniture making, which he extremely enjoyed. Archie could often be found at the farmers market with his fur baby, dog Bob. He loved making people smile and enjoyed breakfast at Home Plate.
Archie is survived by: his wife, Nancy; son William (Stephanie); grandson, Cohen; sister, Mary (Don) White; two brothers, Harvey (Charlene) Amundson and Gerald Amundson; his dog, Bob; and special friends, Dennis, Larry and Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
