Arlene Anita Grimm, age 84, of Marion, passed away on Thursday March 13, 2025, in Marion. Arlene was born on August 12, 1940, in Shawano to the late Orrin and Elsie (Schwartzkopf) Westphal. She graduated from Marion High School in 1958. On August 1, 1968, Arlene was united in marriage to Frank "Spider" Grimm, Sr. The couple spent a wonderful 21 years together before Frank's passing in 1989. Arlene worked at NorthStar Casino for many years. She enjoyed going on trips with her casino friends, playing cards and riding horses. Arlene loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her children, Debbie Lasecki, Charles Grimm, Karla Grimm, Jennifer (Joe) Larson, Shirley Lacy, Marilee Martzke, Nancy Meyer, Sally (Al) Knapp, Gail (Doug) Opperman; grandchildren, Stephanie, Amy, Michelle, Jason, Zackary, Collin, Haiyle, Madison, Caylla, Justin and Marie, also numerous step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Emmette, Aidric, Preston and Lydia, also numerous step-great grandchildren and step-great-great grandchildren; and sister, Sandra (Jim) Glaze. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, Sr.; sons, Russell and Frank "Jim", Jr.; brother-in-infancy; and parents, Orrin and Elsie.

A funeral service for Arlene will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday March 19, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the Town of Pella, with Pastor Tim Lofgren officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 18, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm then again at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
