Arvilla Mae LeRoy, age 73, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. Born on July 12, 1950, in Keshena, she is the daughter of the late Kennedy and Mary "Bogue" (Dickie) LeRoy. Arvilla attended Gresham High School and then continued her education in cosmetology school. She was well known and always available to give haircuts around the reservation. She enjoyed playing bingo, slot machines and was obsessed with Elvis. She had an amazing sense of humor, was sociable and was always the life of the party. Arvilla had a unique laughter that everyone could recognize and left an everlasting impression on everyone she met. Her grandchildren were her world.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Deanna) James, Sr., Mary James, and Tessa (Jamey) James; her grandchildren, Amanda, Aiyana "AJ", Emma, Arvilla "Bubz", Nicole, Alyssa, Robert, Rainelle, Mary Jane, Karlena, Santee, Taylor, and Tai; brother and sisters, Lena Rae LeRoy, Merlin "Twin Boy Rudy" (Edith) LeRoy and Sherry "Nelly" Penass; her godchildren Melanie Whitney and Sheila LeRoy-Woodke She is further survived by numerous great grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends.

Arvilla is preceded in death by the love of her life, Gregory "Mike" Lepscier, who preceded her in death in May 2023; her son, Todd James; her daughter-in-law Faye James; her granddaughter, Andrea James; brothers and sisters, Evelyn, Marilyn, Marcella, Allen "Uncle Wiz", Kathy, Donald, and twins, Joan and Jean.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Neopit at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her hospice nurse Traci Budahn for her meticulous care of Arvilla, as well as the staff at the Eden Bella Vista assisted living in Green Bay.
