IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audrey “Tawihsaáku’
Sápat” Ellen O'Kimosh
November 7, 1940 – May 21, 2021
Audrey Ellen O'Kimosh, "taWIhsaáku' sápat", age 80 of Keshena, began her journey to the spirit world on Friday, May 21, 2021. Audrey was born on November 7, 1940 to the late Peter Sr. and Delvinia (Waters) O'Kimosh in Keshena. Audrey was known as everyone's mother and grandmother. She fought to protect her values and those that she held so dear, as well as being a fiercely independent woman. Audrey was a mentor and truly an elder to those in her community, by mentoring youth and being a cultural educator. She was proud of her social work history, which included AODA counseling. She enjoyed watching sports which included tennis, football, baseball, and all of her family sports activities. Among her finest qualities, she always told you what she wanted you to know. Audrey had a huge heart and always put others needs above her own. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Audrey is survived by her son, Melvin Stick; grandchildren, Konoka, Diana, Anthony, and Kaylene; her great-grandchildren Miguel, Nalani, Gabriel, Aron, Arianna, King, Genisis, and Richard IV; siblings, Peter (Cathy) O'Kimosh Jr., John (Mary) O'Kimosh, Forrest (Renee) O'Kimosh, Basil (Wally) O'Kimosh, and Richard (Denise) O'Kimosh; and brother-in-law, Darrell Peters; her former husband LeRoy Stick. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends whom she cherished deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dwight "Lee" O'Kimosh; and siblings, Gerada O'Kimosh, Althea Richmond, and Davey Jean Reiter.
Traditional services will be held for Audrey at the O'Kimosh Residence, N334 Pine Meadows, Keshena. Burial will be in the O'Kimosh Cemetery. Visitation will be at the family residence starting in the afternoon on Saturday, May 22, 2021 until the time of services on Monday.
