Audrey June (Zuleger) Schommer, age 84, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Appleton. She was born on October 27, 1938 in Shawano County, Wisconsin, to the late Carl and June (Wanie) Zuleger. Audrey grew up on the family farm in rural Bonduel; after graduating from Pulaski High School she worked at Aid Association for Lutherans in Appleton. She met the love of her life while at a dance at the Cinderella Ballroom. Audrey was united in marriage to David Schommer on September 2, 1961. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2019. She and David owned and operated Washington Resort on Shawano Lake for over 26 years. Audrey's flower gardens were her pride and joy; she crocheted beautiful afghans for her children and grandchildren; she enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and Bucks. She and David enjoyed polka dancing, traveling and spending winters in Florida. Most of all she loved her family with all her heart.

Audrey is survived by her children: Bob (Chris) Schommer of DePere, Kris (Russell) Robaidek of Pulaski, Karen (Rocky) Robaidek of Bonduel and Kathy (Gordy Sorenson) McClone of Bonduel; her grandchildren, Nicholas Schommer, Nathan (Galia De La Garza) Schommer, Stephanie (Mitch) Koehne, Brooke (Tom) Tkatch, Beth (Kyle) Kowalczyk, Bryce (Maranda Heim) Robaidek, Dalton Robaidek, Brandon Robaidek, Preston Robaidek, Carson (Abby Stoltenow) Robaidek and Mandi McClone; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Memphis, Arabelle, Onyx, Eviana, Iryn, Skyler, Kinsley, Landyn, Sawyer and Macy; siblings, Delbert (JoAnne Zellner) Zuleger, Dennis (Lisa McHugh) Zuleger; sisters in law Mitzi Zuleger, Catherine Nadler; brothers in law Phil Fleigle, Marv (Donna) Schommer, Don Schommer. She is further survived by numerous special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years David; parents, Carl and June Zuleger; in laws Joseph and Philomena Schommer; her siblings, Kenneth Zuleger, Connie Fleigle; sisters in law Beverly Zuleger, Delphine Schommer, Lois Schommer, Rosemary Schommer, Delores Goeser; brothers in law Francis Schommer and Larry Nadler.

Funeral mass will be held for Audrey at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Fr. Scott Valentyn officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel and again at church on Thursday starting at 9:30 am until the time of service. Entombment will be at Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
