Barbara L. Bodensack, age 80, passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023, in Shawano. Barbara was born on February 2, 1943, to the late Kenneth and Margie (Henry) Allen, in Viroqua, WI. On August 6, 1966, she was united in marriage to Horst Bodensack in La Crosse. The couple raised their family in Menomonee Falls. Horst preceded Barbara in death on June 15, 2013. In 2018, Barbara moved to Shawano to be close to her beloved grandsons who meant the world to her. Barbara was an avid racing fan, attending numerous NASCAR and Indy 500 races throughout the years. A wonderful mother and grandmother will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Weber of Arizona and Tina (Scott Young) Rogers of Shawano; her grandsons, Matthew Rogers, Ryan Rogers and Jacob Rogers; and her sister, Sharon Gibbs.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Horst, her parents, Kenneth and Margie, and a brother-in-law, James Gibbs.

Private family services will be held.
