Barbara Frechette-Kelley, age 78, passed away Thursday evening, July 24, 2014 in Gresham. Born on November 5, 1935 in Keshena, she is the daughter of the late Francis and Sarah (Irving) Frechette. On November 15, 1986 she was united in marriage to Ellsworth A. Kelley; he preceded her in death in 1989. Living most of her life in the Keshena area, she was active in the community. Barbara worked as the Menominee County Treasurer for over 30 years. Barbara served as the President of the Menominee School Board and served as Vice Chair of the Menominee Tribe. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and she was a member of Schoenstatt. Barbara is survived by: her son, Reynold Frechette, Sr. of Keshena; her grandchildren, Billy Jo (Jake) Frechette of Gresham, Jennifer Marie (Jesse) Frechette of Keshena, Reynold Frechette, Jr. and seven great-grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by: her husband, Ellsworth; her parents; her brothers and sisters, Francis Frechette, Sr., Charles Frechette, Ruth King, and Lois Vigue. Memorial services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David McElroy O.Praem officiating. Burial will be at the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6:00p.m. until the procession leaves for the church on Monday at the Billy Jo Frechette residence located at 1010 Bartelt Street in Gresham.
