IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara A.
Laux
November 11, 1944 – August 18, 2024
Barbara A. Laux, age 79, died in Bonduel on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Barb was born in Leopolis, on November 11, 1944, the daughter of the late Elmer and Jane (Brunner) Mehlberg. On January 31, 1978, in Menominee, Michigan, Barb was united in marriage to Roger Laux, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2002.
Barb was known for her kind heart! Her talent for sewing, knitting and crocheting was enjoyed by many…from baptismal gowns to sweaters, including an endless supply of afghans and quilts. Barb's favorite life moments were when she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished each one of them. Easter won't be the same without Mom's lamb cakes. She will be dearly missed.
Barb is survived by her children, Ann Gast, Tina (Rod) Christensen, Doug (Brenda) Gast, Roger Laux and Terri (Ken) Hamby; six grandchildren, Justina Revall, Anthony Christensen, Olivia (Doug) Jacobson, Kelsey (Kaylie Bohm) Gast, Lucas (Garrett Bradford) Gast, and Michael (Keri) Christensen; six great-grandchildren, Mhylei, Tinisa, Apollo, Oaklynd, Laine, and Westyn; and Roger and Terri's children. She is further survived by her companion of 20 years, Gordon Krueger and his children, Ron, Ken and Steve; three siblings, Tom (Diane) Mehlberg, Terry (Sandy) Baumgartner and Vicki (Chuck) Levine; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Barb is preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her parents, Elmer and Jane; and her stepfather Roy Baumgartner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of the service. The burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Meadowview Assisted Living, along with Aseracare Hospice for their continued care, love and compassion shown to Barb.
