Barbara K. Witt, age 54, of Shawano, passed away at her home unexpectedly on March 15, 2019, following a brief illness. Barbara was born on April 18, 1964 in Kingsville, Texas, daughter of Kathleen A. (Eder) Witt and the late Howard B. Witt. Barbara attended Marion University in Fond du Lac and earned her degree in teaching from the University of Wisconsin Superior. She loved her career as a teacher and has worked at Keshena Primary School for 25 years. She adored traveling and spending time outdoors. She loved Lake Superior as well as spending time at the cabin near Glidden Wisconsin. In her free time she enjoyed attending living history events and at one time was a volunteer at Heritage Hill State Historical Park. By far the most important part of her life was her family, she always put her family first and doted on her beloved nieces and nephews. Barbara was a wonderful caring woman and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by: her mother, Kathleen Witt of Glidden; siblings, Carol (Chuck) Megan of Glidden, Daniel (Jean) Witt of Chilton, Michael (Lexi) Witt of Glidden, Teresa (Raymond) Koshak of Glidden, and Robert Witt of Glidden; and her nieces and nephews, Klara, Theodore, Alexia, Brooke, Christopher, Jennifer, Marshall, and Lilyan. She is further survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
Preceding Barbara in death are her father, Howard, and a sister, Patricia Witt.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 256 E. 2 nd St., Glidden, WI 54527. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
