Beatrice M. Brandt, age 83 of Bonduel, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born on August 13, 1929 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Theodore C. and Elsie (Klabunde) Schultz. Beatrice was raised in the Shawano area and was a graduate of the Shawano High School, class of 1947. On September 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to James E. Brandt at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. After marriage the couple made their home in the Bonduel area where Beatrice worked as a teller at the Shawano National Bank for many years. She then worked as a bookkeeper for the Bonduel Oil Company. Beatrice was a very active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel, serving as president and treasurer of the Mission Circle and sang in the choir. She also served as financial secretary and treasurer of the North WI District LWML. She was also active with the Shawano Medical Center Auxiliary and the WISC Homemakers. In her free time, Beatrice enjoyed quilting and sewing. Beatrice is survived by: her husband of 57 years, James; her daughter, Carrie (Jerele) Westphal of Shawano; a step grandson, Ben (Emily) Burr; 4 step great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lewis (Janice) Schultz of Shawano. She is also survived by 3 nephews. Beatrice was preceded in death by: 3 children in infancy; her parents; a sister, Bernice Brauer; and a brother-in-law, Edwin Brauer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup and the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4-8pm and on Friday after 10am until the time of the service.
