Beatrice M. Gipp, age 94 of Racine, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Racine. Born in Cecil, she is the daughter of the late Paul and Hattie (Schutt) Galleske. She was united in marriage to Wilbert Gipp at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Wilbert preceded her in death in 1994. Beatrice loved flower and vegetable gardening. She was a homemaker extraordinaire and loved canning, cooking and baking, especially her cookies and pies. She also liked making homemade candy. Beatrice was a kind person who loved spending time with her family. She was a great mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. Beatrice is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Peck of Madison and Cindy (James) Carleton of Racine; her grandson, Jordan Peck of Madison; her sister, Helen (Hiram) Joslin of Green Bay; and her brother, Raymond (Ardyce) Galleske of Shawano; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Wilbert; her parents; her sisters, Dorothy (Clarence) Baumgarten, Frieda Galleske; her brother, Edward Galleske; and brothers-in-law, Merle, Wallafred, and Edward (Minnie) Gipp. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Ted Andrada and Rev. Randall Poppe officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery.
