Obituary

Beatrice Josephine Hoberg, age 98 of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home. Born on January 17, 1915 in Stangelville in Kewaunee County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Krines) Konop. On June 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to Harold G. Hoberg in Stangelville. Harold preceded her in death on April 30, 1990. Beatrice worked as a teacher for more than thirty years. She volunteered at Heritage Hill for many years and was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Parish where she was active in the Catholic Women's Club and the Altar Society. Beatrice was also a member of the Elks Auxiliary and the St. Norbert's Auxiliary and was also active in the local book club and bridge club. In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing. Bea is survived by: her daughter, Patricia (Robert) Hoberg Silberman of Mequon; her son, William (Susan) Hoberg of Green Bay; 2 granddaughters, Melissa (Stephen) Coffey and Nicole Eby; and 3 great-grandsons. Bea was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold; her parents; a brother, Henry Konop; and a sister, Florence Lindeman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the St. Bernard's Catholic Parish in Green Bay with the Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Burial will be in the Allouez Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home in Green Bay on Friday from 4:00-7:00pm and at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of the service. A prayer service is scheduled for 7:00pm on Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the N.E.W.
