Bernard J. "Bernie" DeBauch, age 86, of Shawano, formerly of Cecil, passed away on July 7, 2016.
Born on July 20, 1929 in Two Rivers, the son of the late Arthur and Marie (Burg) DeBauch.
Bernard served honorably in the United States Army.
He worked at Scott Paper Mill in Oconto Falls for 21 years before leaving the mill to farm until his retirement.
In his early days he enjoyed riding motorcycles and showing and racing horses.
Later in life, he cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren, especially taking them fishing.
Bernard is survived by: three sons, John (Mary) DeBauch, Jerry (Tammy) DeBauch, and Jeff (Janilee) DeBauch all of Cecil; eight grandchildren, Andy (Marin) DeBauch of Missouri, Adam DeBauch of Tomahawk, Ashley DeBauch of Gillett, Aaron DeBauch of Cecil, Sara DeBauch of Green Bay, Jeremy DeBauch of Nichols, Jacob DeBauch of Cecil and Jamie DeBauch of Cecil; two great grandchildren, Myra and Carson; and nine siblings, Floyd DeBauch of Green Bay, Marilyn Ingrisani of New York, Vincent (Joyce) DeBauch of Shawano, Genevieve (Ervin) Reinke of Pulaski, Priscilla Burbey of Suamico, Joan (Richard) Mardzek of Green Bay, Regina Coppens of Phoenix, Delbert (Bonnie) DeBauch of Gillett, and Elizabeth (Julius) Ondik of Gillett.
He is further survived his former wife, Constance (Dick) Chilla as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Gillett.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
