Bernard Shestock, age 64 of the Town of Washington, passed away Monday, January 13, 2013 in Door County. He was born on June 8, 1948 and grew up in Door County. Bernie worked as a plumber but his true passion was in restoring and collecting tractors, big and small, especially his favorite, the Farmall M. Bernie had an analytical mind and a phenomenal memory that could recall most everything. He cared more for others than he did for himself. About 20 years ago he moved to the Cecil area and would always make time to enjoy his morning coffee at the Red Rooster. Although plumbing was his main career, he also worked at the Super 8 Hotel in Shawano. Bernie had many close friends that extended into the Amish Community. He loved collecting, reading, and watching Westerns and mysteries. On June 30, 2008 he was united in marriage to Christine Kroenke in Shawano. Bernie is survived by: his wife, Christine; his sister, Rose Boudreau of Republican City, NE; a sister-in-law, LuEllen Wilson; a brother-in-law, Dean Kroenke; and many, many friends. A visitation to share memories of Bernie will be held at the Red Rooster in Bonduel on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano assisted with the arrangements. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
