Bernard "Mike" Springer, age 66, of Keshena, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. Bernard was born in Keshena on August 28, 1950, the son of the late Bernard and Margaret (Chevalier) Springer. He enlisted in the United States Army, serving our country for 18 years as a Sergeant in Desert Storm, Kuwait and Bosnia. After his retirement from the service, he worked at the Menominee Casino. Bernard was a member of the Veterans of the Menominee Nation and was recognized in the Native American Church.
Bernard is survived by: his children, Margot Springer and Marjorie (Huandra) Murray; two grandchildren, Maddox and Burnie; his beloved companion of 10 years, Sunday Warrington as well as numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and one brother, Kenneth.
Family will receive friends after 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Dory Grignon Home, N2064 Nanackoh "Hickory" Street in Middle Village until the procession leaves for St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at 1:30 pm on Friday. Military honors will be conducted by the Veterans of the Menominee Nation at the cemetery.
