Betty Jane Balcer, age 86, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was born on October 24, 1935, to the late James and Mary Callen in Illinois. In 1969, Betty was united in marriage to Stanley Robert Balcer. She loved to play bingo at the Civic Center and watching Hallmark movies. Betty enjoyed gardening and cross stitching. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Stan (Twyla) Balcer and Bridget (Eric) Lindstrom; grandchildren, Katie Balcer, Erik Balcer, and Hunter Balcer. She is further survived by siblings, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Leo Balcer; husband, Stanley; granddaughter, Amanda Balcer; her parents and several brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Debbie Pagels presiding. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Naperville, IL.
