Obituary

Betty Jane (Lohrentz) Heling, age 80 of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, surrounded by her family. Betty was born on March 13, 1941, in West Allis, the daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn (Hoppe) Lohrentz. Betty graduated in 1959 from Marion High School. On July 17th, 1965, she married Charles "Charlie" Heling at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the town of Pella.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting with her extended family, playing a dice game and enjoying a meal together.

Betty is survived by, one daughter, Trisha (Jim) Vigue of Shawano; two sons, Steve Heling, Scott (Kelly) Heling both of Shawano; five grandchildren, Ashley Jensen, Zeke Heling, Meghan Heling, Tyler (Amanda) Heling, Blaze Schardt; five great grandchildren, Hayley, Peyton, Maddie, Charlie, Rylan; one brother, Dale (Jean) Lohrentz; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Lohrentz and Donnabelle "Dolly" Pleshek;

and two brothers-in-law, Elmer Zimmerman and Ray Yaegar. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Charlie; two brothers, Walter Lohrentz, Jr. and Larry Lohrentz; and two sisters, Gracie Bartelt and Patricia Zimmerman.

Funeral services for Betty will be held on Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pella with Rev. Tim Lofgren officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Hermansfort. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
