Betty (Dahl) Komarek, age 89, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Betty was born on June 1, 1930 in Spirit, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Walfred and Violet Dahl.  She attended Spirit Center School.  On December 28, 1955 Betty was united in marriage to Laurel Komarek in Spirit.  Laurel and Betty dairy farmed in Spirit and then in Medford until Laurel's death on April 11, 1991.  Betty then moved to Tomahawk, Wisconsin in June of 1992.  Betty was always busy with vegetable and flower gardens.  She also enjoyed doing embroidery work and crocheting.

Betty is survived by two sisters, Loretta (John) Soderstrom of Shawano and Arlyss (Ken) Niemi of Plover. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six brothers, three sisters, and a nephew.

A memorial service is being planned for the spring. Inurnment will be in Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery.
