Betty Jane Ruffert, age 95, of Gillett, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021.  She was born on November 29, 1925, to the late Victor and Mary Ellen (Fulwiller) Londre in Norway, Michigan.  She and her sister Alice were raised by their mother and step-father, Earl Lacomb.  On September 20, 1947, Betty was united in marriage to Jack Ruffert in Green Bay, until his passing on May 30, 2017.  The couple was inseparable, they lived in West Allis for over 20 years.  During this time, she worked and ran her own beauty salon "The Dollhouse" for 25 years.  In 1975, they purchased land on Pensaukee Lake and slowly built "Ruffert's Paradise" where they vacationed until moving there permanently in 1985.

Betty is survived by: one son, Jack A. (Robin) Ruffert of Cecil; and her grandson, Christopher Ruffert of Shawano.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents and her sister, Alice.

A memorial service for Betty will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Mr. Richard Menning officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
