Obituary

Betty Jane Wamboldt, age 79, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14, 2025. She was born in Shawano on May 14, 1946, to the late Robert and Anna (Riske) Wedde.  She was raised from infancy and on by her stepmother Nancy Wedde and her father Robert. On September 14, 1968, she was united in marriage to James Wamboldt at the Church of the Wilderness. He later passed away in 1972. She was proud to have worked for the Bowler school district for over 33 years while also working at the North Star Casino for 25 years. She was a strong hard-working woman that always made sure she could provide for her family. Betty deeply loved her grandchildren. Even when she was done working, exhausted from a long days work, she always made time for them. In her free time, she loved watching westerns and doing word-find puzzles. She will be deeply missed.

Betty is survived by: her children ,Kelly Wamboldt and James Wamboldt Jr.; her grandchildren, Leo, Robert, Miranda, Stevie; her great-grandchildren, Mason, Xavier, Marcel, Maverick, Nevaeh, Madison, Mirella, Maeva; her sister, Sharon Wedde; her sister-in-law Dorothy Wedde. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Anna; her siblings Butch, Annamae and Robert David Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday May 23, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Shawano Place Nursing Home and Moments Hospice (especially Monica and Candice) for the love and care they gave to Betty.
