Beverly June Jenkins, age 84, of Shawano passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Shawano. Born on January 19, 1928, in Worthington, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Curtis) Nelson. On June 17, 1944 she was united in marriage to Francis Raymond Jenkins in Staples, MN. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2010. Beverly worked for the Shawano School District for 42 years before retiring in 2010. In her early years she enjoyed fishing, dancing, and playing cards. She lived for her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Beverly was an avid Packer and Badger fan and enjoyed cooking in her free time. Beverly is survived by: her children, Ron (Jan) Jenkins of Sherwood and Lori (Kevin)Rogers of Shawano; her 8 grandchildren, Chad (Leesa) Jenkins, Christopher (Shelby) Jenkins, Michael (Liza) Jenkins, Brent (special friend Marsha Krause) Rogers, Kayla (Nathan) Piasecki, Cody Rogers, Cheyenne Rogers and Twila Rogers; 6 great-grandchildren, Evan, Seth, Noah, Savannah, Daileighana, and Dazaria. She was preceded in death by: her husband; a son Francis "Butch" Jenkins Jr.; a grandson, Bradley Jenkins; her parents; a brother, Marvin; and 4 sisters, Dorothy, Helen, Betty, and Mary. A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Memorials can be sent to the family at P.O. Box 131 Shawano, WI 54166.
