Bobbie Jo Conkey, age 76, of Shawano passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Bobbie Jo was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 25, 1945, daughter of the late Dolph and Bonnie (Lay) McCall.  Bobbie Jo graduated from high school in Garden Grove, California and on February 14, 1964, she was united in marriage to Walter Conkey.  Bobbie Jo worked in banking, both as a teller and in operations over the years.  She loved all animals, especially her dogs.  She enjoyed her evening cocktails and martinis on special occasions.  Bobbie Jo was a wonderful wife and mother; she had a contagious laugh, and her smile could brighten any room.

Bobbi Jo is survived by: her husband of 58 years, Walt; her two children, Laura (Danny) Voyles and Wally (Sarah) Conkey both of Shawano; and three sisters, Linda (Moe) McElvogue of California, Pam (Chris) Crouch of Utah, and Lisa (Bill) May of Florida.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

A celebration of Bobbi Jo's life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:30pm until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the Shawano County Humane Society.
