Bobby Joe Sanapaw, age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 26, 2024, in Keshena. Bobby Joe was born on August 8, 1985, in Shawano to Barbara Fish and the late Joseph Sanapaw, Jr. In the summer of his senior year of high school, he met Ashley Peters, who was in her senior year of high school. The moment they met they were inseparable and united in marriage in 2018. Bobby Joe was a jack of all trades a mechanic, carpenter, craftsman, and wouldn't stop until it was fixed. He was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and painting. Bobby Joe was a comedian, jokester and could make anyone laugh with his antics. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother Jeremy. Bobby Joe was always willing to help his family or strangers; he was selfless and would uplift others. He was a devoted father and his children were his world and top priority. Bobby Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

Bobby Joe is survived by his high school sweetheart of 21 years, Ashley; children, Deziray Sanapaw, Anastasia (Gage) Sanapaw, Brayden Sanapaw, Taylor Boyd, Tristan Sanapaw and Truly Sanapaw; grandson, Leo Sanapaw; mother, Barbara; siblings, Brooke, Whitney, Jesse, Joseph III, Ashley, Roberta, Mahkanit, Sonny, Leland, Lindsey, Mike, Robert and Jeremy. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bobby Joe is preceded in death by his special uncle and father figure, Issa Fish; special uncle, Jeffrey Joper Fish; special nephew, John Fish; and father, Joseph Sanapaw, Jr.

A funeral mass for Bobby Joe will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 29, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center starting Thursday June 27, 2024, from 4:00 pm and continuing until the time of service on Saturday.
