Bonita Mae Magsam, age 85, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 in Green Bay. Bonita was born on May 11, 1934, in Owattona, Minnesota, to the late John and Mary (Dunham) Bratten. In 1955, Bonita was united in marriage to Gerald J. Magsam. Gerald preceded her in death on February 26, 2017. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, journaling, canning, and participating in sing-a-longs with friends. She loved to read the Bible and attend fellowship meetings.

Bonita is survived by: her children, Gary (Debbie) Magsam of Wisconsin Rapids, Gene (Linda) Magsam of Arizona, Gwen (Jim) Willkomm of Medford, Greg (Betty) Magsam of Shawano, and Gerry (Sarah Moxon) Magsam of Shawano; her grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) Magsam, Derrek (Ashley) Magsam, Ginny (Jon) Jagodzinski, Caleb Rabe, Keagan Rabe, Breyden Dombowsky, Molly Stephany, Jeanette Rasmussen, Zachary Erickson, Leighton Erickson, Jasmine Erickson, April Oleson, and Justin Roesch; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Bonita was preceded in death by: her husband, Gerald; her parents, John and Mary; and one sister, Ester Bruck.

A funeral service for Bonita will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rob Eberhardt and Bruce Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
