Bonnie Louise Smet, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Shawano. She was born on May 10, 1957, to Nona (Wood) Rath-Simons and the late Mearl Rath in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Bonnie lived in Shawano for the past 10 years and enjoyed birds, especially her three parakeets, knitting, and puzzles.

She is survived by her children: Shelly (Frank) Flanigan of Shawano and Mikey (Sonia) Smet of Kelly Lake, six grandchildren: James, Faith, Conor, Anthony, Daniel, and Shelby, mother, Nona Simons of Gillett, brothers and sister: Charles Rath of Gillett, David Rath of Gillett, and Nona "Ruthie" Sellen of Marinette, and former husband and good friend, Michael Smet. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Mearl, and two brothers: Michael and Thomas.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with a Time of Sharing at 1:00 pm.
