Bonnie L. Young, age 67 of the Town of Washington, passed away Friday, February 07, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 7, 1946 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Hope (Mahn) Seidler. On September 4, 1965 she was united in marriage to Robert H. Young at the St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil. Bonnie worked for the Shawano Equity and was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil where she was a former Vice President. She also started the Cecil Community Closet, for which she won an award. Bonnie loved being a mother and adored all children, including the kids in the neighborhood whom affectionately refer to her as "Nonnie." She loved being active and enjoyed riding her bike, swimming, sewing as well as reading. Bonnie is survived by: her husband of 48 years, Robert; 3 daughters, Dawn (Gregg Seitz) Young of Alexandria, VA, Jennifer (Tom) Hutchraft of Shawano, Melissa (Patrick Hill) Young of DePere; 3 granddaughters, Sabrina Brzezinski, Racheal Hutchcraft, Hannah Hutchcraft; 2 grandsons, Xanatos Thimke, Zechariah Thimke; 2 step grandchildren, Chris Hutchcraft, Neil Hutchcraft; 3 step great-grandchildren, Calvin Hutchcraft, Kate Hutchcraft, Lana Hutchcraft; 2 adopted grandson, Maxwell and Harrison Mueller; and 2 sisters, Jeanne Klemp and Kim Jackson both of Shawano. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil with the Rev. Moira Finley officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00am until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made in Bonnie's memory to the FVBTC (Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition).
