Obituary

Brandon James Chapin went to be one of God's Angels in heaven on  Sunday, December 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the young age of 31. He was born on September 3, 1992, to Peggy and Randy Chapin at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. Brandon had battled a brain tumor (Hypothalamic pilocytic astrocytoma) since the age of 13. No one could top his jokes or his artistry and especially his warm and thoughtful heart! He also had a never-ending supply of movie and TV quotes. He loved his family so much and especially his parents, siblings, and all his nieces and nephews. His dog Axle was his best pet and favorite furry friend ever!

Brandon is survived by: his mother Peggy Chapin, of Cecil; his father Randy and Jolene Chapin, of Navarino; his siblings, Heather (Evan) Welch, of Shawano, Joel (Halle) Bartels, of Hortonville, Cody (Miranda) Chapin, of Gillett, Kassidy Chapin, of Cecil; his step-sisters, Macy and Kenedi Gondeck, of Navarino; his paternal grandfather Russell (Doty) Chapin, of Green Bay; his nieces Raina, Velecia, Iradessa, Raylynn and Gracie; his nephews Rhylee, Jaxon, and Corbin; his aunts and uncles Bill (Jeannie) Stiles, of Hortonville, Susie Wetzel, of Gillett, Mike (Mona) Wetzel, of Tomah, Barbara (Troy) Laatsch, of Marion, John (Jan) Wetzel, of Appleton, Marge (Nate) Teller of Cecil, Joyce (Dale) Pephke of Manawa, Julie (Rick) Rauterkus of Clintonville, Tim (Shelly) Wetzel of Appleton, Russel (Kim) Chapin, of Pulaski, Calvin (Bobbi Jo) Chapin, of Embarrass, Paul (Nicole) Chapin, of Schofield, Dan (Stacy) Chapin, of Gillett and Pat (Penny) Lohrengel, of Clintonville. He is further survived by numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by: his twin brothers Quentin and Joseph Bartels; his maternal grandparents Eugene and Patricia Wetzel; his paternal grandmother Sally Chapin; his aunts Patty Ann Wetzel and Jeannie (Wetzel) Stiles; his cousins Ryan Pethke, Trisha Britzke, Matthew Alf, Keelynn Schachtschneider and Isaac Britzke; and a nephew Easton Gondeck.

A memorial service for Brandon will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service.
