IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian A.
Tourtillott
June 15, 1964 – October 8, 2022
On Saturday, October 8, 2022, Brian Allen Tourtillott, age 58, started his journey to the Creator. He was the son of Donald Sylvester and Patricia Jean (Jacobs) Tourtillott; born on June 15, 1964, in Shawano. Brian was united in marriage to Martina Marie Gauthier on November 9, 2017, in Bowler. Brian was an officer of the Menominee Tribal Police Department and Menominee County Sheriff's Department. Before becoming a law enforcement officer, he trained in Marana, AZ, in the federal law enforcement program and in Glynco County, GA, for advanced federal law enforcement training. He graduated from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Academy. Brian also worked for Menominee Tribal Enterprises and the Menominee Forestry Department. He also was a certified first responder, truck driver, logger, security officer and private investigator. Brian enjoyed riding in the woods on the back roads and fishing in the rivers; it was his church and medicine. He would say, "I know these woods like the back of my hand". Brian shared his love for nature with his son, Forrest. They would often be in the woods together, hunting and fishing. He was an old school hunter and fisherman who loved telling stories and teasing – usually at the same time. Brian was intelligent and inquisitive; he loved learning about the world. Some of his happiest times were sharing his camaraderie and laughter around the fire with family and friends. Brian had a great laugh and an excellent sense of humor. He was a protector by nature, had a big smile and an even bigger heart.
He is survived by: his wife, Martina Gauthier-Tourtillot; children, Forrest (Significant Other, Melissa Besaw) Tourtillott, Jwin Crow, and Aremina Dodge, Eric (Fiancé, Chelley Klassy) Magnuson; many grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Valerie (Jeff, Sr.) Dixon, Vicki Tourtillott, Jay (Significant Other, Teanna Davis) Tourtillott; mother-in law, Andrea White and brothers-in-law, Justin (Amy) Gauthier and James Miller; and "special cousins", Miles Tourtillott, Sr. and Keith Tourtillott. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, John "Johnny Gunn" Gauthier.
Visitation will be held at the Valerie Dixon's residence: N1155 Gray Eagle Trail, Keshena from 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, until services at noon on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
