Obituary

Bruce (71) and Kathy (69), residents of the town of Washington, Shawano County, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 6, 2025. Bruce, son of the late Louis and Esther (Runge) Zeeman, and Kathrine, daughter of Barbara (Donnelly) Schneider and the late Clarence "Tootie" Schneider, were graduates of Bonduel High School. Bruce and Kathy were united in marriage on May 3, 1975, and recently celebrated 50 years of love. Their love for each other was evident in every moment they shared, and their kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew them.

Bruce and Kathy were devoted to their family, the farm, and bringing joy, laughter, and wisdom into the hearts of those closest to them. Kathy enjoyed reading, crocheting, tending to her flowers, and caring for her chickens. Kathy was an active member of St. Martin's Parish in Cecil. Bruce enjoyed woodworking and restoring farm equipment. Together they enjoyed farming, antiquing, gardening, canning, spending quality time with their cherished grandchildren, and having a great time celebrating. They left an incredible mark on their community, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a moment of joy.

Their love story was one of deep connection, and their legacy will live on through those who survive them, including their children, Patrick (Julie) Zeeman, Rebecca Zeeman, Daniel Zeeman, William (Jenny) Zeeman, and Benjamin (Andrea) Zeeman. Grandchildren, Sophia, Robert, Miley, Lucy, and Willow. Sister of Bruce, Joan (Robin) Zeeman-Rolfs. Mother of Kathrine, Barbara (Donnelly) Schneider. Siblings Paul (Deidra) Schneider, Brian (Debbie) Schneider, Amy (Doug) Yakes, Julie (Jeff) Busch, and John Schneider, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom were fortunate enough to experience their kindness and guidance. In addition to Bruce's parents and Kathrine's father, they were preceded in death by sister-in-law, Tami Schneider, and two nephews, Greg and Justin.

A service to honor their lives will be held at 11:00 am on Friday June 13, 2025, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil. Visitation will be held at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Thursday June 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Parish Wake service at 7:30 pm.  Visitation will continue again on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.

Though their time with us was far too brief, the memories they created will remain in our hearts forever. We will always cherish the love they gave, the lessons they taught, and the unwavering strength they showed. May they rest in peace, together as they always were.
