Bruce L. Koenig, age 73, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He was born to the late Hal and Renee (Sapenko) Koenig, on Dec 2, 1948, in Shawano. Bruce graduated from Green Bay West High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree at the college of Stevens Point. He first began working at the Ben Franklin store for a few years once he exited college. Bruce then worked at the National Federation of Independent Business from 1975 to 1992. He then continued his career in working at Enesco from 1992 to 2010. Later in life, he owned and operated Anastasia's Gifts for All Occasions, which was formerly known as Hal's Hallmark. In his spare time, he was a lover of all sports including basketball and football. He always loved watching the Packers and the Badgers play. Bruce also enjoyed fishing in his younger years. And above all, he made sure to spend the most time with his grandchildren and family. Bruce was a selfless man and was one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. He will be dearly missed.

Bruce is survived by: his daughter Nicole (William) Boivin; his former wife Royola; his grandchildren Anastasia, Evelyn, Isobel and a granddaughter on the way. He is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded by: his parents Hal and Renee.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 17, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Pastor Andrew Zobel officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at 9:30 am at the church until the time of service. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery following services.
