Brynlee Jo Stempa, age 14, of Fort Wayne, Indiana previously of Shawano, left her mother’s loving embrace and went straight into the arms of her father who was waiting for her on the other side on Friday, October 2, 2026. Brynlee was born on March 5, 2012, in Shawano, Wisconsin to Heather (Mishler) and the late Derek Stempa.

She brought so much love, light and laughter to those who knew her. Brynlee loved spending time with friends, playing volleyball, listening to music and expressing her creativity with fun and imaginative makeup looks. She had a special love for her animals, especially her beloved cats. Brynlee could often be found cuddled up with them on the couch. She had her dad’s quick wit, sassy and sarcastic sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. Her beautiful smile could light up a room. Brynlee will be remembered by her unique spirit, her unforgettable personality and the joy she brought to those around her.

Brynlee is survived by her mother, Heather Stempa; brother, River Stempa; maternal grandparents, John (Debbie) Mishler and Mary (John) Yuska; paternal grandparents, James and Kathy Stempa; aunts and uncles, Brett (Darcy) Stempa, Chris (Denise) Stempa, Jimmy (Sherry) Stempa, Brandi (Brian) Morrison, Jennifer Yuska, Kayla (Cody) McDonald and Sidney (Gavin) Kopf; and cousins, Adriana Zastrow, Brendon Stempa, Roman Stempa, Carson Stempa, Easton Stempa, Bryce Stempa, Sydnie Strub, Tyson Stempa, Madison Weissmann, Tyler Morrison, Charles McDonald and Millie McDonald. She is futher survived by many other relatives and numerous friends.

Brynlee is preceded in death by her father, Derek Stempa.

Please join us in celebrating an amazing young lady on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stubborn Brothers Ballroom concluding with a short service at 6:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.
