Carl Busch, age 90, of Bonduel, was called home to the Lord on December 29, 2017 in Bonduel with his family by his side. Carl was born on January 4, 1927 in the Town of Underhill to the late August and Anna (Simon) Busch. Carl grew up on the family farm in Pulcifer, working with his dad. He married Dorraine Hanstedt on December 17, 1949. They bought their own farm in the Bonduel area and raised 7 children. Carl also worked at Leichts shipyard. After retiring from farming, he worked for Equity Co-op in Bonduel. In his spare time, Carl enjoyed trout fishing, playing cards--mostly sheepshead, hunting, going up north to the cabin, but most of all spending time with his family. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving as Trustee, Elder and bell ringer. He was a member of the White Clay Lake Sportsmen Club.
Carl is survived by: his children, Carla Parsons of Bonduel, Wesley Busch of Bonduel, Rodney (Rosemarie) Busch of Oshkosh, Noreen (David) Gruel of Chilton, Cheryl (John) Paholke of Bonduel and Neil Busch of Birnamwood; 15 grandchildren, Rachel (Cindy) Voeks, Trisha (Scott) Anderson, Shawn (Melissa) Parsons, Christopher Busch, Angela (Kelly) McKeefry, Amanda (Travis) Bricco, Gregory (Nina) Busch, Matthew (Andrene) Busch, Aaron (Lois) Gruel, Brent (Jenny) Gruel, Crista (Kyle) Turner, Jeremy Paholke, Charity (Jason) Schiltz, Joshua (Autumn) Paholke, Ashley Busch; 35 great-grandchildren, Aubree, Cole, Carli, Gage, Garrett, Eli, Maddox, Eden, Morgan, Wyatt, Catherine, Annabelle, Mason, Hudson, Sade, Madelynn, Matthew II, Jeremiah, Evelyn, Nathan, Lilian, Jaden, Holden, Stella, Jackson, Gabriel, Madeline, Sierra, Rhett, Ridge, Maxwell, Sophia, Xander, Hailey and Wyatt. He is further survived by brother-in-law, Gerhard Rosenlund, sister-in-law, Dorothy Hanstedt, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by: his wife, Dorraine; daughter, Jeannine Voeks; grandson, Michael Voeks; son-in-law, Larry Parsons; brothers, Victor and Augie Busch and sister, Anita Rosenlund.
A Funeral service for Carl will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Pastor Mark Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm and again on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
