Carl George Van Der Linden, age 85, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020. Carl was born on February 26, 1934, in Green Bay, to the late August and Frances (Hoffman) Van Der Linden. On June 21, 1958, Carl was united in marriage to Ann Calaway in DePere. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Carl owned and operated a dairy farm in Greenleaf, he later operated the Siesta Villa Motel in Shawano and an upholstery business. He enjoyed woodworking, watching the cars go by, and mowing the lawn.

Carl is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Ann; his children, Debbie (Mike) Onesti, Laura Van Der Linden, Jim (Wendy) Van Der Linden, Tom (Tammy) Van Der Linden, Steve (Bonnie) Van Der Linden, Judy (Mark) Radke, and Pat (Paula) Van Der Linden; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Mary (Dick) Rottier, Norbert (Sharon) Van Der Linden, Roger (Jeanne) Van Der Linden, Richard (Juliane) Van Der Linden, and Rosie Kramer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Don Van Der Linden, Jerry Van Der Linden, Ken Van Der Linden, and Grace Calaway.

A memorial service for Carl will be held at 6:00 pm, on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Deacon James Lonick officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service.
